Eat my words

I write my words in journals
Locked away for none to see.
Trace the words and mark the sentences.
Read Memorize Repeat.

Each day I add entries
Expanding my collection
Ever changing forever bettering
Read Memorize Repeat.

I listen to the footsteps
Of strangers around me
Inspired by their sounds
Read Memorize Repeat

I look at the world in a nostalgic manner
Creating pieces of art to flow together
Once my art is finished I begin my ritual
Read Memorize Repeat

Journal after journal the same story unfolds
My actions never change
They never stray away
Read Memorize Eat.

I consume my art
Forever binding my weapon
The words are forever with me
Read Memorize Repeat

On the verge of a meltdown - Flash Fiction

Flash Fiction Definition: Flash fiction is a style of fictional literature or fiction of extreme brevity. There is no widely accepted definition of the length of the category. Some self-described markets for flash fiction impose caps as low as three hundred words, while others consider stories as long as a thousand words to be flash fiction.

Today when I woke up I noticed that not a sound was made, my alarms didn't go off to wake me up for school. I wasn't nagged by my Mother or Father to wake up because I'm going to be late for class, my little sister wasn't jumping on my bed. I walked down stairs and didn't smell coffee which normally takes over the house in the morning, breakfast wasn't served on the table with my Dad reading the newspaper. Crayons weren't scattered on the floor from my sister coloring on the floor next to him on the pages which he just finished reading.

I woke up to a strange morning, was I sick? I didn't think I had a fever. Was it a snow day? its in the middle of Spring so I doubt its that.

I walked outside to find my Mother, Father and my Sister just walking around aimlessly. Its 10:00AM my Dad is suppose to be at work! Mom is suppose to take my Sister to day care or tumbling class or something of that matter and here they are just walking around without a care in the world!

Am I the only one who is sensible around here?

"Mom! Mom, why didn't you wake me up for school?"

"Garghhhh"

"Ma I don't understand what you're saying but this is unacceptable!"

"GARGLE GAA!!!" Dad screamed while he stumbled towards me. He wasn't even wearing his suit, he was still wearing his pajamas, I don't think he's even wanting to get ready for work.

"Ga! Ga! Gaaalllaaa" My sister jumped and started to run towards me, following Dad like shes his little shadow.

"Whats wrong with all of you?" I asked as Mom and Dad began to rub my head as if they were checking me for lice. I wasn't so sure what they were doing and I don't want to understand what they were doing but by that point I finally realized what was going on...

Mom and Dad are roughly around the same age, they are about 45 and I believe that this might be their mid-life crisis! My sister is only copying their actions because its what she does, she loves to annoy every single thing that walks this earth!

But one thing I really can't make sense of at all is after I left them to go back into my room to do a bit of studying I looked out my window and saw them trying to bite at my neighbor like how my dog normally does.I guess they're playing some game or something so I left it alone and went back to studying.

Strings for dreams

Today begins anew
As morning glistens
Awaking me from my sleep
Bringing forth a new day.

Though in my dreams
I've accomplished more
Achieved greater feats
Than I can in my waking hours.

I know that with dreaming
Comes great terror
And with living brings about more pleasure.
My dreams are what keeps me alive.
My life is what keeps me dreaming.
